Dr. Meshack Ndirangu Wanjuki is a public health leader and health systems innovator with nearly three decades of experience. Since 2015, as Country Director of Amref Health Africa in Kenya, he has developed top-tier leaders steering an organization of over 400 staff and an annual budget exceeding USD 50 million, advancing strategic, people-centered health system innovations that integrate social determinants of health, tailored to Kenya’s needs.
Committed to cultivating the next generation of leaders, Dr. Ndirangu, a credentialed executive coach, founded CoachLinks, connecting clients and coaches across Africa. He has also co-authored Career Choice, a book inspiring young people to build impactful, purpose-driven careers.
Drawing on his experience in global health, Dr. Ndirangu is pioneering a new theory of health systems, framing them as holistic, people-centered models designed to meet the demands of the 21st century. He has established a blog dedicated to this body of work, which he has termed Health Systems 2.0. This platform will house a collection of resources, offering both the theoretical foundations essential for health system reforms and the tools for advancing and strengthening contemporary health systems.
